Two men, Mohammed Haji, 23, and Abu-Backar Hajiawes, 26, both from Birmingham, have been charged with theft of motor vehicle offences and knife possession following an investigation by Thames Valley Police.

The men were charged with three counts of theft of motor vehicles, one count of going equipped to steal motor vehicles, and one count each of possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place. The charges relate to the theft of three Land Rover Defenders, two of which were stolen on Monday 11 May in Crowthorne and Wokingham, and the third on 13 May in Ascot.

Both men have been remanded into custody and are due to appear at Reading Crown Court on 15 June.
