Daniel King, aged 28, of no fixed abode, has been sentenced to 36 weeks’ imprisonment for multiple theft offences in Bracknell. He pleaded guilty to seven counts of theft from a shop at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 11 July. Between 8 May 2026 and 26 June 2026, King entered several retail premises in Bracknell and stole items totalling £515.02. He was arrested on 10 July and charged the following day. PC Ryan Murphy of the Bracknell Neighbourhood Team said: The sentence of Daniel King demonstrates the proactive and targeted work being carried out by officers from the Op Purchase Shoplifting Team and Bracknell Neighbourhood Policing Team. We are committed to supporting retailers and businesses across Bracknell and will continue to work closely with our partners to identify, investigate and bring offenders before the courts. PC Murphy added: Shoplifting can have a significant impact on businesses, staff and customers, and we will continue to take robust action against those responsible. The sentence reflects that King had committed further offences during his period of suspended sentence. Source: Thames Valley Police Post navigation Cyclist Seriously Injured in Thatcham Collision
